Avoid frequent bending of hip & direct pressure over your hip. Never sleep on affected side; and sleeping on back and stomach is preferable. Stair climbing, step aerobics, stair stepper, bicycling, rowing machine, stop and go sports make a lot of friction & irritation and must be avoided until pain has subsided.
